The '80's

I'm pretty lucky. My friends and I got to spend our teenage years growing up in the '80's and early '90's. The '80's were such a strange time for music... that decade produced some of the worst **** ever for mainstream radio play. WAAAY to much synthesizer... Drum machines.... and.... just.... sh!t.... but who cares?....

The '80's & early 90's also gave birth to the majority of the BEST metal of all time... and It was all so new back then.... like nothing else you'd ever heard... You had to be there to understand the change in the scene. Our tape collections grew from the staples of Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Ozzy Osbourne, Deep Purple, etc.... and began to include bands like Exodus, Slayer, Testament, Megadeth, Anthrax, Metallica, Death, Pantera, Metal Church, Sepultura, S.O.D. and others...

What a time to be alive.... It was f**king AWESOME!!!!

I f**king LOVE metal....
