Ah Mexico, Too Far AwaySomeone on EP asked a question recently about avocados, which I answered. I listed some ways I love to eat them. But I completely forgot about guacomale till another EP answerer mentioned it. My goodness, it got me thinking about Mexican nosh.
One of the very few disadvantages about living here in southeast Asia is the distance to Mexican food. I have never been to Mexico, but have been to the USA, and surprisingly, you can get excellent Mex food in Australia, where I hail from. But not here. There are a few eateries aimed at tourists, with imitation Mex dishes, but they are uniformly poor.
How I long for a feed of burritos, refried beans, guaco, cheese, salsa, and all that.
