Train Show

So recently we went to a model train show.  It was great and if you ever get a chance to go, you need to.

There were several layouts set up there, everything from the N scale modular groups to G-scale and evern one that the kids could ride that was pedal powered.  Of course there were several HO scale set ups as well.

There were several vendors there and they were selling everything you can imagine.  My favorite, of course, were the table where they were selling old kits and used train cars.  I bought several pre-owned freight cars i varying degrees of disrepair.  Now I'm in the process of changing out couplers and wheels to match what I run, and weathering some of the cars to cover over glue spots or scratches cause by someone else mishandling these cars in the past.

I also bought my son his first locomotive and it's a great one.  It's a Stewart VO1000.  I hope he stays interested in this hobby and we don't lose another sould to video games!

I've only been to one train show but really want to go again, even if only to meet and talk to the people there who share the same interest.
