Ranting About The Little Things

Why do some movies add a little extra footage AFTER the credits?

Let me back up a little... I guess it's fine, as long as it's only insignificant, EXTRA footage that in no way adds to the plot. But remember Pirates of the Caribbean 3? They showed a vital part of the story AFTER the credits roll. What is up with that? Who does that? Apparently - they do. Now because of movies like that I am forever traumatized and forced to watch movie credits in every single movie, just to be sure I didn't miss anything important.

Thank you Pirates of the Caribbean, for ruining my life.

marvel did that in iron man and the avengers, don't know why studios think people need to see who worked on the movie
