Lionel Jeffries

For those of us of a certain age, Chitty, Chitty Bang Bang, with the late Lionel Jeffries, with his bristling moustache and bald pate, as Grandpa Potts in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, was an essential part of our childhood. He also directed 'The Railway Children, another staple of Christmas viewing......wanders down memory lane.....

Hi, and thank you, my lovely twin :)

What you say resonates with me so much! People can't imagine it now, but you usually had to wait till the next holiday, whether it be xmas or Easter to see them again! My parents had the 'Sound of music' soundtrack on vinyl, so I got to hear that quite a lol, lol, I requested 'The Hills are Alive' for my late father's cremation service, so it's a poignant tune for me. Lionel Jeffries did leave his mark, and the films will continue to delight:)
