It's My Number One Obsession!

I've never loved a band as much as I love Muse.

I was first introduced to them by a friend I'd made online. (This would've been around four or five years ago). The first I heard was either Hysteria or Endlessly (I don't know why, I just remember that it was one of the two, lol).

You go through a range of emotions listening to Muse. I think what I mostly feel is inspired. It's very layered music and there is so much you can appreciate about it.

I got my sister into them right away too, but since the last album came out in 2006 (not counting HAARP =P ), she gets tired of hearing all the same songs. Me on the otherhand, I can't stop listening to them-- any of them. I find that when I listen to other bands for too long, I miss Muse. I have to listen to them at least once a day or it doesn't feel right. That might be considered strange and, I would say, definitely obsessive, but oh well. XD

In November 2007, they came to Melbourne which is roughly 2 hours from where I live. My sister goes to uni close to Melbourne, so she bought tickets nearly right away, which I was obviously pleased about. =D

Seeing them was one of the best nights of my life. The atmosphere was amazing. People really aren't kidding when they say they are one of the best live acts you can see. It was just so EPIC. One thing I'll never forget is when they FINALLY came on, and started with Take A Bow, some german guy came up to me and started asking me if the seat on the other side of my sister was free. I basically just stared at him like he wasn't really there, because I was kind of stunned that Muse were ACTUALLY THERE, that Take A Bow was starting, and here was this guy asking if a SEAT WAS FREE? Did he not have his OWN seat??

So obviously that annoyed me, but when I could manage to say "I don't know," he left quickly enough, and I could give my full attention to the concert. Which I may have mentioned, was amazing. =P

The only thing that bothered me a little was that they didn't play Space Dementia, which is pretty much my favourite song. But it was just so epic, I can forgive them for that.

If they come back anytime soon, I'll definitely be going back, and not only that, I will most certainly get a seat closer to the action (our seats were pretty good, but I'd love to go in the mosh pit).

After I saw them, I've only become more addicted to them, and have gotten my hands on any early rare tracks, ect. Just so I can have more Muse to go around! XD

All I can say to close is, I hope the rumours about an album coming out in September are true!

Truly understood obsession ;) You're not alone, I went through it too, and it's going to be repeated cause I'm going to see them live in July in Berlin... can't wait! Cheers.
