always thought my story for this group would be how music has touched me in every way and how i have always felt it and listen to it constantly. But nah. lol I just decided to write about a conversation i had today with a friend of mine about sad songs, and those lines that cut you deep! As me and him sang through a few songs we reflected, and even laughed at some of the horribly sad phrases. They are so damn heartwrenching it's ridiculous. I just love how deep some simple lines can go. Different lines are the saddest for some, but these are some for me. I thought i would bring up a few lines and verses of random sad songs just for the fun or well, sadness of it.

I'll note that although the words are depressing, I find this song a little funny due to the crazy guitar solos that randomly come in against the overall tone of the song LOL. They are good solos though. :).
That's it I suppose. Thanks for reading (if you've gotten this far) and i may add some more sad songs if they pop in my head. May the sad songs always make us weep and our heartaches worse!

 | Posted Sep 17th, 2009 at 8:32AM Music has always been a passion for me ...I am a tenderhearted fool at time and yes ...there are songs that have made me cry...As a kid I always seem to be grounded(only boy with 4 sisters lol) and I would lay on the floor in the living room and listen to music on the console stereo.I loved and still love music.It can make your mood ...whether it be happy or sad or even make you want to shift gears and drive fast.I have told my children to keep an open mind when it comes to music and dont get stuck on one genre....there is so much good music out there...whether it be pop or rock or country or even some of the music from my parents era....It can move me...can make me melancholy, or put me in the mood to be romantic ..music hits my very soul!I have always wished I could play an instrument so I could makemusic...but I just dont have that kind of talent! |
