I Love Music
I love music - all kinds. I have an eclectic mix of genres in iTunes and on my iPod which can make for comical juxtapositions when I shuffle all songs. I enjoy most genres and have artists from all across the spectrum. They each move me for different reasons and soothe or elevate my mood or need at the time.
I miss making mixed tapes, but playlists have replaced that for me to some degree. I find I get bored with my music at times and look for new artists, albums, songs. I have a few friends who are on top of the music scene, so they're my "go-to" people when I'm seeking something new, different or supplemental. I also love Pandora, especially for finding songs or artists I wouldn’t have come across otherwise.
I grew up in the 80s, and have quite a few 80s songs in my rotation. They never fail to make me feel happy and upbeat. How can you not love the 80s? Such excess, such fun, great videos, and they remind me of a very happy time in my life.
Here’s a list of recent songs played by my iPod:
American Girl - Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers
Romeo and Juliet - Dire Straits
Eye in the Sky - The Alan Parsons Project
Enjoy the Silence - Depeche Mode
Giving Me a Chance - Gotye
Skyfall - Adele
Let It Go - Zac Brown Band
Chains - Duran Duran
Titanium - David Guetta
Drive Time - Chris Botti
She Makes Me Feel Good - Lyle Lovett
Africa - Straight No Chaser
Toxic - Britney Spears
Time to Say Goodbye - Andrea Bocelli & Sarah Brightman
Empire State of Mind - Alicia Keys
Bad Horse Chorus - Jed Whedon, Joss Whedon & Zack Whedon
Lose Yourself - Eminem
