I've been having a great time digging into the history of rockabilly, from it's roots in the late 20s and early 30s, through the 50s with artists like Jerry Lee Lewis and Elvis, to its resurgence in the 80s with groups like the Stray Cats. Lots of excellent stuff buried in there along the way.

Yes there is!

One interesting thing that I have found in listening to various kinds of music since 1979-how many songs that I
had thought were new songs-but I found out later that they were remakes.

Two examples:

1. "Boy From New York City"-
The Ad-Libs, 1965/ The Manhattan Transfer, 1981

2. "You've lost that lovin' feeling"-
The Righteous Brothers, 1965/ Hall & Oates, 1980
