How Can't You??

There isn't a day that goes by that music isn't in my life and has an impact.  Music has such an immediate connection with my emotions, moods, and memories.  Every song I have has some sort of sentimental value to me, even if I were to lose control of my mind and memory as long as I had music I could relive my memories.  Whether a joyous occasion or a troubled time, nothing conveys a mood better than the perfect fitting song.

One of my biggest regrets is not getting involved in music, when I was young I remember my class being introduced to the band instruments, I never joined although the instructor told my mother that I had the most potential of my class.  I envy all those who are able to create and construct such beautiful noise, yours is truly a special gift.

I enjoy most every genre of music, I'm not a strictly mainstream fan, yet at the same time by no means a music snob.  Favorite artists include:  Brand New, The Pixies, Kid Cudi, Elliot Smith, The Violent Femmes, Pencey Prep, blink-182, Nirvana, Sublime, Hollywood Undead, All-American Rejects, David Bowie, MGMT, Bob Dylan, Wu Tang Clan, 3OH!3, Boys Like Girls, Andre Nickatina, Eminem, Bob Marley, Mobb Deep, Daniel Johnston.  Yea an odd assortment to say the least....

creating music is stressful. making everything epic. reflecting emotions truthfully.. just truly enjoy music. you will be happier.

It is always nice to be talented musically. However, sometimes its a lot better just to enjoy listening to music. When you are making music, your mind is busy concentrating on whether or not you are playing the right notes, or using enough dynamics, and all that complicated stuff, and its a lot easier to stop enjoying the song as much. Just being able to sit back, close your eyes and listen a lot better than having to worry about all the complicated technicalities associated with the music making proccess.

Yea, i guess it isn't too late. I just think I should be focusing my efforts on things like getting my degree at this time haha. Maybe in some ulterior world where I have the time, I can always dream...

Dude...it's never too late to get into music. A little practice...okay, a lot of practice, and you'll be on your way. Start simple, learn three chords on a guitar, and you can play a song
