After my parents' divorce when I was two years old, I only got to see Dad twice a year. Although our time together was short, he made sure that it was quality time.
He and I are very much alike. I think this is why I did not always get along with Mom while I was growing up.
Dad was present for the birth of my son. To this day, his eyes light up whenever he talks about it. I was glad to have him there, and it makes me happy to know it was one of the best days of his life.
Now, he is a widowed patriarch of a huge family. When we have our get-togethers, he glows with pride and happiness to be with all of us.
He is the wisest man I have ever known. Anyone would do well to follow his advice.
I adore my daddy!
