We have 1994 and 2003 Exporers and love them both. Both were special order. We ordered our 1994 in Alabama before moving to Upstate NY, in 4-Wheel Drive and with an engine heater. The dealer in Alabama couldn't tell us how the engine heater worked or where the plug was located, but we eventually figured it out! Our 2003 is the limited edition (only made for 6 months) YELLOW NBX model. We love them both!
FORDs rule! I've also owned a 1966 Bronco back in my college days, and a 1997 F350, but had to trade that in for an F450 to haul our 5th Wheel.

I know the feeling. I am totally in lust with my Chevy Colorado--Can't have you so I'm settling for the truck. If I ever had to drive a minivan, I think I would drive it off a cliff.

My wife is a member of the anti-minivan movement. They are such practical vehicles, but to many they have the stigma of a station wagon.

Anyway, gratz on finding a vehicle you enjoy.

With this past winter, and the ones past. I would never have made it up the road or up the driveway with out the four wheel drive. One of the hazards of living near the top of a "hill" ( okay we locals call them hills, outsiders call them mountains lol. Those darn flatlanders. They just don't know how to drive in the snow. )

4WD is by far the safest and nicest to drive, I live in 4x4 country, we don't need it for the snow, but for the bush. Also the high accident rate on our roads makes a 4x4 a lot safer as well - love it.
