I Love My Grandchildren
My grandchildren are a 4 yr. old girl named Elizabeth, and a 8 yr. old boy named Zachary. I also have a grandson named Caleb that is 8 mos. old. I love them so very much, and they feel the same about me. I love to spend time with them, and I talk to them almost everyday. We do things like chase butterflies, dance and play in the rain, read stories, look for worms and rollie pollies, watch birds and other animals, cook together, and just have a good time. They love nature as much as I do, and I want them to know and enjoy the simple things in life. I have been there for and since the birth of my two older grandchildren. The youngest one, I don't get to see very much of because his mother moved away to live with her mother and stepfather. (It's a long story.) But I love him as much as the other two. It amazes me at how much my grandchildren love to help cook. I enjoy doing crafts and things, and I let them create their own little crafts. I was the same way with my own children. I love the way that my grandchildren can talk to me about anything. Elizabeth, is very active and wants to know everything about everything. Zachary is more layed back and only wants to know about what interests him. I love it when its summer and we all play with the hose getting sloppy wet and then muddy from the mud puddles. They both laugh so hard sometimes that they start to cough, and we have to take a time out to calm down. Of course my daughter thinks I let them get away with too much, but I don't...I just try to talk and explain things to them...like why sometimes they can't get wet with the hose, or play in the mud, because they are going somewhere and mommy and daddy don't want them to get dirty. They say okay, maybe tomorrow. I could go on and on about them...But I will just say that they are 3 of the greatest gifts that God has given me, and I cherish each and every one of them.
