You were always there with you silent strength
with a smile you worked everyday at length
It was with smile you conquered and won
It was with a smile you baked cookies for a tin
some pale, some just right
some you burned just for me just how i liked

You were there with your tender kindness
In your silent peace I saw the likeness
In your path of light I walked
In your soft eyes I could see you loved

Proud and strong you faced life

You are here with your warrior spirit
you win by willing it
As I watch you struggle to breath

God borrows us his angels only once
