When Friends Become Lovers...

Every day I thank God for blessing me with my husband. Actually, I should be thanking him for making me realize that he was good enough to be more than a friend. We have known each other since we were infants. Our moms grew up together and we grew up calling each other "cousins." All of this changed as we got older and closer and my friend/play cousin confessed that he was in love with me. I ignored it for a very long time until we decided to hang out 1 day. After he dropped me off at home I texted him and told him we should talk about these old feelings he had. He was embarrassed at 1st but we eventually had the conversation that basically never ended. From that day forward we became inseparable and now we are happily married. This man has been everything I could ever ask for in a husband and a great father to my 4 year old daughter who is not his biological child. We talk about everything and we don't have any secrets because we knew each other and fell in love with each other way before we became intimate. The 1 thing that I would say to anyone who is single is to take your time getting to know a person and marry your best friend.
