Big Boy Now

He's growing up fast... 4 1/2 now and becoming quite the little man. Of course he's a handful but he's MY handful and I wouldn't trade him for the world.

His new thing is Tae Kwon Do and has officially finished his first month. He still has trouble with names of the other kids, something they want him to practice, but honestly I don't think he cares. He's in his own little world and does what works for him and the rest doesn't matter. Funny thing is that although he's slower in some things and always on the move he's showing his strength in other areas. One of the things they do in class is make this little obstacle course and put a child on each end. One is designated "it" and they get one minute to catch the other. He holds the record and is 2nd to youngest in the class and his best time is 10 seconds. He has mega speed!!! Another funny was went the class had to do push ups. They weren't too happy when the instructor said "Well he can do them one handed so we should all do it that way". My son just smiles and continues not only one handed push ups but he can swap with each push.

Next year we are pulling him from the special ed class and trying kindergarten. It means a new school after two years so I'm getting him used to the idea early. We've driven by a few times and today, after hours, we drove in to the back to get a better look. I know he's excited because he told his big sister all about it including the blue playground. In about two weeks we get to go on a tour so that will be fun.

Anyways, just had to share a little about my little guy. He's just so loving and so much fun... He's gonna be just fine...
