I want to.
Truly...
I really want to.

How to trust,
How to hurt...
Still understand the pain.

Why?
The pain...
Should be the pleasure.

But those limits,
They are physical...

I...I am emotional

And so the pain...
It just hurts.

I should feel safe.
I should feel protected.
I should feel love

But I feel lost...
Craving what isn't there

I wish I knew.

I can see the fire
I feel its heat
and the light it throws
I see the shadows
hear its crackle
And i love the fire
I need its energy
But i know
that it will burn
Yet my hand is drawn in
to the flames
they dance on my skin
a searing pain
that glows in my heart
and warms me
melts the ice
that is my core

Yes, the pain of knowing that what you have is not really what you want or need is intense.
But maybe it is there for a reason; telling us that what we have is not quite right.
Love is complicated and comes in many forms. When it`s right, it`s heaven. When it`s wrong, it`s hell.

  It's hard to understand....wanting to be submissive...giving yourself over to someone like that. It's like walking along the edge of a sword and trying to believe you won't be cut....but you always are.
