Campbell Clan

A personal story in the experience: I Love My Scottish Heritage
I started going to the Scottish Highland Games when I moved to Florida. I love the bagpipes the most. I never knew my grandmother ( my dad's mom) was Scottish. I guess that's why I love anything Scottish. Well, I joined the Campbell clan at the tent when I was there at the games. Later I got the Journal of The Clan Campbell Society ( North America).  Ruby G. Campbell Ph.D the society's genealogist did a search for me & found more than I had already had found. My dad has been to Scotland & hopes to go again. I have not gone yet, maybe sometime before I die.

I'd like to live in Scotland but I'm not sure I could make it there at this time in our lives because of the economy, but if I could, that is where I would retire to.  I am always delighted when I meet someone who is from Scotland, who is really scottish. Although it makes me want to go that much more. I love to read anything to do with the country & to find out about living in Scotland. I would appreciate anyone who could tell me about it (prices for housing, driving, )etc;

I hope you DO make it to Scottland one day! Everyone needs to "see" where their roots are! :) Just be careful what you wish for. My Boss went to his ancestrial land of Ireland a few years ago. His tour bus wrecked into an overpass!! He was temporarily employed by the local hospital (he's a Doc) to help all the injured!! WHat a trip, eh??!! lol.

I hope you do make it to Scotland. Don't think we live in a movie set. Culture is about how people are, visitors don't always get access to that. But we're friendly & respect people. If you are Clan Campbell, then I would I would be pleased to advise you.
