I Love My Whiskey
Curious what anyone's thoughts are on Van Winkle bourbons. I was really hooked on the 12 yr special reserve for a couple years until my local liquor merchant stopped being able to get it. It was great bang for the buck at $53/bottle. I could never keep enough on hand.
I had the 15 year family reserve once, and tried the 20 at a friend's house, almost too smooth. The local store used to reliably have the 10, 12, 15 and a 23 year in the glass box but now it seems to be impossible to find.
