Growing Family

This really is the most challenging part of my life... the one where kids come into the picture. But where there are big challenges, there are usually big rewards, and that's how I would describe it.

When my wife was pregnant with our first we got most of our finances in order for a loss of income.

When my son was born I quit my job and after 2 months mat. leave my wife went back to work.

I stayed at home with my son for 3 years and our daughter was born during that time. I am glad for the experience of it and the amount of time I was able to spend with them.

When I went back to work, the time was right for many reasons and I can't say I really regret that decision either... though there are times when I miss the impromptu mid-afternoon park outing or day trip to the zoo.

I love my kids and my wife who has supported me when I decided to quit my job to spend time with our children, and then supported me when I felt it was time for me to go back to work.

She has put up with a lot from me that I think a lot of wives wouldn't and has supported me in ways that would have made it daunting for me to continue the things I wanted to do.
