It's amazing to me that so few people have joined this experience. It seems that so many folks are using the site to prowl for relationships outside of their marriage. I'm in for the long haul.

My wife and I met a little more than 20 years ago and we absolutely detested one another. She was that hateful shrew and I was that obnoxious loudmouth. We worked together and that was that. Our detest for one another eventually led to arguments which boiled down to heated debates that turned into long talks and eventually into long talks beneath the stars - then dating...

Dating was up and down with her leaving me and me leaving her - wash and repeat. Eventually we moved in together and then back out until the ball stopped bouncing and we settled into a pattern that didn't offend the other. We married and have been together ever since and we'll be celebrating our 14th anniversary this year.

We seldom argue anymore and we aren't trapped in that heart wrenching, soul rendering love that you have when you're young. Now it's about respect and even about finding our faults amusing. I suppose it's natural to long for the crazy love and lust of a budding relationship, but it should be like wishing you were a kid again - just a wistful nostalgia not something you act on.
