love the story of my name. cassandra was the sister to the king of troy. apollo fancied her so he gave her the gift of prophecy. he made sexual advances on her and she refused so he cursed her so that no one would believe her propheciesand she would only see tragedy. she saw the trojan horse and the trojan war but no one believed her. there is also a song called cassandra by ABBA that is about her.

 | Posted Feb 10th, 2008 at 4:35AM I love myths, and just re-read the story of Cassandra, the only true foretelling is death. poor Cassandra so ill used. so remember something that politicians never forget, people do not like to hear unpleasant truths and will avoid believing them till it's too late. My current unpeasant truth I can not believe no one notices is the selling of debt to china, Hello I can relate to sister Cassandra. |
