The Old Gray Hammock!

Below is one of the many poems i have written.

Old Gray Hammock

Resting in an old grayed hammock
Rocking gently in the ocean’s wind.
Overlooking a lonely beach.
Wishing summer would never end.

Listening to the symphony in my ears
Created by the waves crashing on the shore
The breezes smell like fresh salt air,
Leaving my nostrils begging for more.

Looking up at the moon and stars.
The waves still crash against the sands.
The seagulls have flown to their nests.
Me lying here forgetting my life’s demands.

Resting in the old grayed hammock.
Listening to the lovers play.
My lover comes to me.
What a way to end this day.

You are very welcome my friend.

Awwww, thank you fungirl! I promise to be good. Nothing like a little bit of kindness to break the chill of a sometimes cold world. Thank you angel.

I would join you for a snooze.

I love this! Hammocks are so cool. You can do all kinds of things in one as noted in the lovely poem by fungirl! I have a hammock and like to snooz. Anybody care to join me when the sun goes down?<br />
