I Love Nature and Science
I have been fascinated with the study of nature and science ever since I was a young child, and it has stayed with me ever since (I am in my late 30s now). I can honestly say that I have a far greater understanding of the sanctity and unity of life through studying science and nature than I ever got through all that religious nonsense I had shoved down my throat as a youngster, and a far more awe-inspiring vision of the world and our place within it.
If there is a genuine concept of spirituality to be found, then I feel sure that it is to be found through the study and appreciation of nature and of science, not through dogmatic religions and so-called holy scriptures. Knowing the scientific mechanisms of creating a rainbow or a sunset moves me far more than someone just saying "God did it", and for me at least, makes it all so much more breathtakingly beautiful.
