Nature And The Calming Effects.....

I discovered as a young boy that I loved nature. But it was not until I was an adult that I would learn to appreciate nature. It is where I discovered calmness, peace and serenity. The tranquility that nature brings me is nurturing in itself. I recall as a young boy we moved a lot. So I was not aware of it but I walk or ride a bike if I had one. I would find myself in the paths that had a trail leading to no where. I also was aware that there was much calamity growing up in the household. I just felt something was not right. The nature walks or rides was my way of escaping the troubles at home.
Today I still walk or ride the nature paths. It is where I feel at peace at the end of the day or on the weekend I`ll take a drive to a nearby mountain either climb it or just sit and take in the beauty. That my friends is where peace is found. It is my medication to peace, calmness and is where I get rejuvenation....

You have got all your basics right. The Eastern school of thought subscribes to exactly this view. All great masters have spent years in solitude but amidst nature, connecting to it, learning from it, getting answers too. Its a deeper experience.
