I Love Old Dresses

50's For Me....

While I agree that I would love to try Victorian gowns, it would be a dream come true for me if there was nothing in my wardrobe but dresses from the 1950's.  To know that I have nothing to wear every day but a choice of 1950's dresses would be heaven!  They are so feminine!!  Oh to have been on the threshold of womanhood in 1950.....

    Being born in 1950, my first awareness was with the fashion and my beautiful mother. I love the vintage look and always will.

    I have inherited a stash of patterns from the 40's and 50's. Unfortunately, they are all for a size 12. Back in those days, that was a 34 inch bust. I have to learn how to up-size them to fit my 42" bust. Also my waist, hips and height. Wish me luck.

    The fashion of the 1950's and early 1960's was terrific for all styles of dresses, be they everyday wear or ballgowns, the lingerie of that era was beyond belief.

    Hello Rose, I love the 1950-60 and the diso look of the 80s with some 50s Yes i am a crossdresser with the love of being very lady like. I do have dress, panties, bras, pettiecoats, and garters stockings from 50s and 60s I would love to be a house wife in the late 50s

    Yes I also love this style. If I was a woman, these are the dresses I would choose. I am not a micro-mini crossdresser, I prefer the elegant look.
