Old Movies Are So Much Better Than Some Of The Stuff Today

OMG like black and white film? without computers? no special effects?

Yes they actually had to act in order for you to feel what was going on in the movies.

Some of my favorite movies are from the Golden Age of Film. Gaslight, Watch on the Rhine, Citizen Kane, Casablanca, Gone With the Wind (this was color) Ben Hur and so many others. The actors and actresses had to really evolve into their parts to make the film believable.

I do not have cable but if I did really one of my favorite channels is TCM. That is when movies were really good. Many of them also came from the Golden Age of Radio both the movies and the actors and actresses.

So yes there are movies out now I think are great, but the older movies by far are my favorites and I love to find movies I have never seen before with those great actresses and actors of times gone by.

Casablanca baby! Thats one of the greatest of classics. Althought all the ones you mentioned are. I of course love the modern ones too and being a scientific minded person my preference is always thinking movies. But sometimes I still prefer the movies from the Greatest Generation. The atmosphere, the music, I love the period as well as the movies.

Casablanca is a classic film but then Ingrid Bergman is one of my favorites. Yes the music is awesome too the scores were incredible. That time period of movies was just the best ever.
