Recently, I started working at a nursing home. There was one time where I was feeding this elderly woman in the dining room, and suddenly, another resident began to cough violently.

These are the words that came out of the mouth of the woman I was feeding:

"Oh, that poor thing. Bless his heart!.........Somebody shoot him!"

Ah, yes! You got to love it! :D

Older people just have something special. I'm a CNA and work as a RCA. People say it's a crappy job and I should find something better, but I truly love the people I take care of. I get to see them at their best and worst. One of my favorite residents passed a month ago, and it's sad not seeing them anymore. They keep me happy and smiling when I don't feel like it at all.

It's like they have magical powers to poof away negative energy. Not all the times though, ha.
