The worst prison is a closed heart. - Pope John Paul II

Begger's can't be chooser's.

You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.

The Grass Is Not Always Greener On The Other Side w/a twist..."not to mention all the sh** you step in own your way".

If wishes were horses, beggars would ride...

Eaten cake is soon forgotten....
Sorry - I'm hungry so it was the first one that came to mind!!

Speaking of closedin's "burn"... YOu can't burn a candle at both ends!...
... well, I HAVE on occation, and it burns up your energy quickly, just like the wax! lol

Once bitten, twice shy! ;) The group Great White even sang about this one! lol

It's funny how these saying you have heard at some time in life then forget.
Then all of sudden they show themselves to be valid and true!
Burn me once shame on you. Burn me twice shame on me.

I prefer puddles over lakes... perhaps that's been my prob! :O
In the words of George Strait: YOu can lead a heart to love; but you can't make it fall! ( I love that one!)

Falling in love is like jumping into a mud puddle. Growing in love is like wading into a calm lake.

And then sometimes you face one step forward for two steps back! * Or is that the other way around??* :O

Yes..I can also apply that one in my life.

I have been using this one quite often lately.
You can't enjoy the peaks until you go through the valley's.

How bout: Don't put all your eggs in one basket? ;)
