Old Passion, New Eyes...

I've always had a creative side to me.  I always enjoyed sketching, wood-working, photography, anything that allowed me to channel my passion.

Unfortunately, life - family, job, life crisis - curbed that creativity need for years.  I often tried to 'get back into' art, but was usually frustrated with time constraints.  So it's been on the back-burner for many years.

Now that I've retired, I'm finally satisfying my life-long creativity desires and needs.  And with new eyes!  I finally realized that I CAN take my time; I don't have to force my inspiration for creativity.  It's a wonderful feeling and very therapeutic.

Recently, I started a 365 Project... a photo a day for 365 days.  It's been an absolutely wonderful experience!  I've learned so much about photography... composition, color, contrast, and so much more.  I've also learned a lot about myself... I have an eye for beauty and there is beauty hidden in everything I see... that is perhaps the most valuable lesson I've learned.  I find myself looking at everything with new eyes.

I'm adding a few of my recent photos.  I have a lot to learn, but what a joy it is!

I'm using a Canon PowerShot SX200IS...
