I just found this group and am thrilled!! We have two pitts, boys. Chance who is a red-nose is just over a yr. old and is HUGE! he weighs over 120 lbs and stands at least 31/2 ft!! he is a big baby!! then there is Chaos....by the way he came with that name when we rescued him!!! chance was a rescue dog too. We have grand babies and these dogs let them do ANYTHING to them and they never even growled at them!! yes, it is not the breed it is the OWNER!!! Anyone that adopts a pitt, can't just be anyone; they are very stubborn dogs, great dogs but hard headed as hell!! and you have to have patience with thm. If you are not firm with them they will take over! LOL they want CONSTANT tlc alot of people do not know that in the early 18th century Pitts were nanny dogs!!!!they are very family oriented and protective, our dogs are friendly unless you are NOT invited in to our home, good guard dogs and very loving! I love our dogs, this is the second set of pitts we've had.
