Another one that touched me, you have a gift. I write poetry, but mine basically tells a story and just happens to rhyme, check out my wine bottle poem, seems to be a hit, that is how I roll lol I will be following you

I wrote this right after my mom died last year. I was in the hospital cafeteria, and the little child behind me was being a brat. I told him to respect that lady that he called "mommy" with such spite, that she was the only mother he would ever have, and that when it really comes right down to it, family was all you have in the world. "Treasure her while she's here", I said to him. He straightened up, and I wrote this poem on the table cloth and cut the section I'd written on out with a knife I keep in my pocket. That got some looks. But I was obviously bereaved and holding a fairly imposing looking weapon so nobody said a damn thing.

Wow, that is amazing. I get inspired that way sometimes. It just hits me, something someone says, a word, a phrase. I went to bed last night and as I was climbing in a verse came to mind, I immedately got back out of bed and wrote it down. It came together nicely. I have over a hundred poems I have written. I failed english and didnt even know I could write until two yrs ago. One came out of me so easy, then I started catching myself rhyming when I talked. So I started writing them down when they came and yes, I have written them down on napkins too. I am putting a book together. I already have a publisher. See, I am Bipolar and a lot of my poems are about the different polars, Sadness and mania. Should be interesting because it decribes how we feel and maybe people even doctors will understand better. See, doctors only know what we tell them, they dont really KNOW cos they have never felt it. How can you decribe a feeling if you have never felt it before?? huh huh right? Anyways, I like your style and I like reading you, found you by accident and glad you became my friend, thank you and please dont ever stop. I love writing, it makes me feel better ;)

A beautiful accomplishment. I so loved this. Takes me back to being 20 again and watching, waiting for my beloved to return to me. All the while knowing that his return was in the hands of judges. Thanks for posting and the memories that it evoked.

Thank you for reading, and assigning a meaning and purpose to what you read. It's nice to think that these verses matter.
