Psychology Is Mostly Junk

Do you know why psychology is ****** up? it's for the very reason alone that if you don't behave the way they expect you to behave, then you must just have Split Personality Disorder, or your a Psychopath, and that explains why your not behaving as expected. that's why you will never win against psychologists, and this is the reason why psychologists think they know everything, and this is why it's ****** up.

They fail to take MANY other factors into consideration, it's all cut and dry to them. Maybe they should follow the K.I.S.S method. Keep it Simple Stupid, and perhaps use some ******* common sense for a change.

Personally I think Split Personality Disorder for example was just this kooky idea they came up with, and just ran with it. and they haven't come up with a better explanation yet, so they just believe it's the be all end all explanation for everything related to behavior that does not coincide with their expectations.

I'm NOT saying Split Personality Disorder doesn't exist, because I'm pretty sure it does, I just think they are too quick to label people, without taking everything into consideration.

They for some reason have failed to understand that people can adopt beliefs actually fairly easily. You can do things that may affect you in the future, because your sub conscious is this non judgmental part of your brain that accepts EVERYTHING as fact, and treats EVERYTHING as happening NOW, it does not understand time, so how can they gauge ones behavior in the present to being representative of what is happening now.

Much of what we see in the world is simply memory recall, we only see a limited band of images through our eyes, and the rest is constructed with our brain.

Check out the Chaplin Hollow Mask video... you BELIEVE it to be convex, until it rotates you then see it become concave, but you thought the concave side was the convex side based on our understanding of what faces should look like, all this happens in the sub conscious.

There's something else I find fascinating, and it's what is called the giggle loop (a fictional creation by a British Television producer), but I actually think it may be something real that can happen, basically the idea behind it is this... "What would be the worst thing you could do during a one minute of silence at a funeral?" probably laugh, right? well what happens is thinking about it makes you want to laugh, because a thought from outside, and a thought from inside are both treated the same by the brain. an imaginary object that you create in your mind lights up the exact same parts of the brain as it would with an external representation of it.

I will admit that there are some aspects of psychology that I do agree with, I'm not saying EVERYTHING they know is garbage, but I would say there is a good 50% of human behavior they can't really explain, but attempt to explain.

Here's another reason to prove Psychologist pick and choose what they want to believe, the field itself has adopted the idea of something called group think, and how people in a group can change someone else's behavior or ability or inability to make certain decisions they would have or have not of made on their own. (But they never consider it as a possibility to explain anything, yet they accept it as a part of psychology, but treat it as not being possible) ******* Dickheads, and then if you were to try and explain this to them, they would just think you were lying to make them believe you. So whatever let these Psychologists walk around like a bunch of retards spewing out bullshit ideas.

They once did a test, and I'm sure it has been repeated several times, where they would have 3 lines drawn onto a piece of paper, and they were suppose to pick the longest line (or shortest, I can't remember, doesn't matter either way) Well they had 4 people, and 3 of them knew the perimeters of the test, and the one person was the test subject.

They ALL chose the wrong answer on purpose, at first the test subject disagreed with their choice, and knew it was wrong, but then what happened is the next time they had to choose the correct line, he kept picking the same one they were picking which was the WRONG answer, and yes he just went with what they were picking, time after time. This can demonstrate how other peoples behavior can be affected through other peoples ideas, and I believe this can be considered a form of brainwashing, and group think.

Another thing that is interesting is this.. The Milgram Experiment...they did a test where they had 3 people, one was the Teacher, the other was the Experimenter, and the third person was the Learner.. They proved with this experiment that a person will accept instructions from people in a position of authority without question.. What happened was actually quite interesting to say the least.

Because their choice of words is kind of dumb, I'm going to use my own explanation of it.. The Authority Figure instructs This person, to deliever shocks to the Receiver, EVEN tho they know it's not right, and they know it's a test, and know the person is in pain, they STILL continue to deliver painful shocks regardless, as per the instructions of the Authority Figure..

The Stanford prison experiment is another good one..

(Taken from Wikipedia) -

Twenty-four male students out of 75 were selected to take on randomly assigned roles of prisoners and guards in a mock prison situated in the basement of the Stanford psychology building. The participants adapted to their roles well beyond Zimbardo's expectations, as the guards enforced authoritarian measures and ultimately subjected some of the prisoners to psychological torture. Many of the prisoners passively accepted psychological abuse and, at the request of the guards, readily harassed other prisoners who attempted to prevent it. The experiment even affected Zimbardo himself, who, in his role as the superintendent, permitted the abuse to continue. Two of the prisoners quit the experiment early and the entire experiment was abruptly stopped after only six days. Certain portions of the experiment were filmed and excerpts of footage are publicly available.

ALL of these tests show that behavior is widely affected by outside intervention through ideas, and behavior modification. and people can be easily manipulated, and brainwashed into doing things they wouldn't normally do. The prison guards actually BELIEVED they were inmates after a short period of time because they were told they were now inmates, and vice versa.

I think some issues with people are very complex, and I think that the field of psychology needs to take this into consideration, otherwise people will be falsely accused of being someone their not. Some people may have a belief system developed based on similar aspects of past experiences, and I believe that can have an affect on a person who may not be the same person. It doesn't make someone completely innocent of something they have done, but I feel that it can add to a guilt driven/outside intervention in aiding to help develop it.

I don't really think we will EVER fully understand the large complexities of the mind, because everyone has different personalities, everyone has beliefs that differ from others, or views on life, or inability to do something vs the ability of another person to do it. This all coupled with general knowledge, and religion, different social views, and different past experiences, different phobias, ambitions. and personal ideas on pretty much everything. and you just end up with this ****** up cocktail of crap that psychology thinks "Oh we understand EVERYTHING, we know exactly why you do this, and that, or this, or why you don't do that, and if you do this, your that, but if you don't do that, then you must be this, or if you do that, but also do this, then you are that, and we can make sense out of everything just by a SIMPLE observation" ******* idiots.

I'm really getting sick and tired of their ideas, and their belief that they are right even with all of these different aspects that make up a human being.

And now we got people who have taken a 6 month psychology course who think they can figure you out, and of course they have been told that everything that a person does can have a simple explanation, and so they believe it... Prime example of the Milgrim Experiment right there.

I'm just sick and tired of this stupid nonsensical world we live in, where people fail to use common sense, and instead turn to something so complex, and so misunderstood, like psychology which is completely broken, and these people have observers who maybe have their own values, like maybe they can lie (oh my god, heaven forbid, maybe they have already made up their mind about someone, and no matter what they observe they will make something up because they want that person to pay somehow, because they have their OWN beliefs, perhaps maybe on how someone even looks (The good ol judging a book by it's cover) ******* stupid retarded complex field that tries to explain everything they know nothing about.
