I Love Reading Books
I have had an extreme love of books for as long as I can remember. When i was a small child i would look at the pictures and tell the story in my own way, babbling excitedly along to any one who cared to listen! The fact that I had not yet learnt how to read the words was never going to stop me. As I went through my childhood I was the ultimate bookworm, preferring to escape in to a world of fantasy rather than playing dress up and dolls with my sister and friends. Birthdays and Christmas were opportunity's to acquire new books, the latest toys and games were of little interest. Enid Blyton and 'The Folk of The Faraway Tree' with the lovable characters Moon Face and Silky The Fairy exploring the many different lands that they happened upon from the top of the tree! and who could forget the stories of the Famous Five or the Secret Seven. The unforgettable stories from Roald Dahl with 'The Witches' not forgetting 'The Twits' and 'The BFG' such an imagination! I was inspired! Before long my creativity took over and I began writing my own stories. I had quite an imagination, or so i was told! My love for reading and the fact I spent every spare moment with my nose stuck firmly in a book, meant that from a young age i developed the art of speed reading. I would start and finish a book sometimes within minutes and be eagerly beginning the next! My passion for reading has never waned, my love for the written word along with the thrill of getting caught up in a clever plot, identifying with the characters and eagerly anticipating... what next?.... as you are swept along, will always be the ultimate escape for me......
