What Newspapers Think Is Important

I want to know why a newspaper chooses its content the way that it does. How the editorial staff of the paper come to the conclusions that they do as to what we as the readers of said paper will find important. The newspaper where I live thought skinning a deer was second page news. That is not something I want to open my paper to look at.

    Good point but here is another problem and that is. TV news organizations do exactly the same thing and they have much more influence in shaping opinion in the country than newspapers. What makes it even more sad is that TV news time is limited during a broadcast and when you have an alledged hard hitting organization, (pick anyone you like) spending time talking about some sort of celebrity news, it makes it that much more sad a situation.
