I Love Roller Skating
I remember waaaaaaaay back in the very early 80s when the thing to do every Friday night was to hit the Roller Rink, and skate round and round to funky music, checking out the guys. I got pretty good at it....the rollerskating, of course! 
Anyway, when that all went out of fashion, and rollerblading came along, I bought a pair and did it for a while. I was always timid on the street skating thing, though, after a few nasty, painful incidents with small rocks.
So, I didn't do it much anymore after that. Away went my blades....
Until today.
The town poured a smooth concrete surface in the ice rink. Before it used to be grass in the summer. I walked by it today, and remembered that.
So, out came the blades once more! Rock free and smooth the rink is. I was gliding! Woo hoo! I had shaky legs at the start, because it has been about 20 years since I had them on, but I ice skate every winter, so it came back to me pretty fast. Can't turn or stop the same as ice skates though!! EEK! I remembered THAT in a quick hurry and didn't fall, thank goodness!
I soon got my "roller legs" and pretty soon was zipping around the rink pretending it was roller derby.
What great exercise! I had a blast!
yes, I know the song is about gambling, not rollerskating. But it has my title in it, I love it, and I probably roller skated TO IT once upon a time! lol
...and, well, WTH...it is Wednesday!
