Slow Running

Being in my 70's, I have been running for over 30 years. The problem is I have gone from an 8 min per mile training pace to a 11-12 min mile training pace and my race times are very very slow---but, I still enjoy it! Use to tell the girls that if they catch me, they can have me. Now I tell them if they want to wait around at the finish line, they can still have me.

You are what I aspire to be, I really hope to still be running into my 70s and beyond and it's hearing your story and others like it that give me hope and the determination to keep running! I take my hat off to you and....well done. A hug from a fellow runner

Your stats are still admirable - I'm 31 now & just been for 1 1/2 run which took me about 15 mins. You would beat me easily especially over a longer distance - I doubt many seventy year olds can say that!<br />

Looks like I'm going to have to try much harder if I'm going to be like you when I'm your age!

congrats on being in such good health!
