I agree. I consider myself a moderate and I liked Paul Harvey also. Unlike Limbaugh he gave correct and truthful facts and didn't make stupid, incorrect statements like stating that the preamble to the Declaration of Independence is the preamble to the Constitution, and calling Sandra Fluke Susan Fluke. Limbaugh frequently makes other inaccurate statements as well, and has engaged in hypocritical behavior like condemning drug addicts when he, himself was addicted to Vicodan. Maybe he still is and that is why he makes so many mistakes in his commentaries.

I have no problem with people stating they are not in favor of someone or something, and explaining why with factual evidence, but Limbaugh just likes to put people down, inaccurately accuse them of things, make things up about them, and call them names. He also makes it clear that he hopes that democratic policies (even good ones) will fail, even if the failure will have dire consequences for our country, just so he can say the equivalent of "na, na the democrats failed". Its so childish and unpatriotic. If you truly love your country you should want it, and its people, to do well and succeed regardless of who has come up with the policies to help make that happen. He always seems to put his ego and the successes of the Republican party before the success of this country and the welfare of its citizens.

Smoke - You, sir are completely correct. That's honestly all I can say, you actually used complete information unlike someone else we know >.>

Grits - You take it as an insult that he said all viewers are ditto heads, but then you turned around and said that all ditto heads don't take his works like God's, when in reality, quite a few do. Some people in my school even recite things he says as actual proof in an argument, even when is information is (like almost always) half assed, guesswork, or just plain made up.

Some times I wonder if even Rush and others like him believe what they say or are just saying it for the audience.

How much is real and how much is personna?

You are absolutely right, the future of our country does indeed depend on individuals.

I never said Rush was politician, he is an entertainer. And yes he can at times be entertaining. But I simply can not stomach someone who condoned the practices at Abu Gahrib using the rationalization of combat stress as the excuses for the soldiers responsible for their barbaric behavior.

My statement regarding those who call themselves Ditto Heads, applies to people who can not think for themselves and can not research facts. I have a couple right here in the office whose entire world view hinges on his words.

I will always think that Limbaugh is a talented motivator of people; a master orator whose monologues often hold people in rapt attention, but I will also always think of him as an idiot who wishes to forward his extremist views on an unsuspecting public.

Rush is not a politician. Yet, why do so many want to put him into that boat. Yes, there are millions of people who listen to him. I am one of those who catch his radio show when ever I can. But to say all who listen are dittoes is just another way of belittling anyone who does not think like you do.

I do not understand when others believe that those who listen to Rush or watch Fox news are taking these things as the word of God. We do not.

In fact, we are far more a group to follow up and check for where and if there is more out there on what Rush and others like him speak.

Rush is fun to listen to and that is one of the reasons why I listen. He can make me smile and laugh to keep from crying over the burdens our country is facing.

Many may not like Rush, but it can not be denied he has people talking and he has people thinking about what is going on in the country. You may not like the way he is doing that but it is time far more people understand the future of this country is the responsibility of each individual and not those we elected into office.

WTF - I agree with you. I liked Paul Harvey and enjoy reading George Will. I wouldn't go as far as say Limbaugh is Hitler, but I bet he would jump on his bandwagon. Especially if you listen to the support he gave to the pseudo-fascist policies of Bush. Rush is the modern day equivalent of Goebbels.

Ditto, Smoke. He has compared Obama to Hitler, but if anyone more resembles Hitler its Rush himself. I bet he'd say "burn the n***er" if he could get away with it. And ANYONE who says his speech isn't filled with hate is either a hatefilled person themselves or really doesn't listen and break down what he says. He is an overly agressive, far right, off the wall, self-absorbed, egomaniacal, pyschotic, hyprcitical, sorry excuse for a human being. And yes, I hate him. But he earned it. Bring back Paul Harvey! Now THAT was a conservative voice you could respect and listen to without vomiting. And that's why Mr. Harvey had more listeners than Rush on his worst day, may he rest in peace.

You did not watch it did you. Not a single hateful word directed at obama. Disagreeing with him is not hateful.
