Thrift Stores and Yard Sales

i can spend all day in a thrift store just sorting and picking through everything same thing with yard sales .. you really have to pick through things but its so fun and most of the time you can find really nice stuff if you dig and the trinkets and things have so much character and they have a history behind them !! so fun !!

I agree, the "thrill of the hunt". I have to watch myself so as not to get carried away and go overboard, when I have been looking for a particular item, and I dont know if you have found this to be true, but say I was looking for a crockpot and there were none, then all of a sudden all the thrift stores had them! I bought two and now I see them everywhere, and I dont need another one. But I am afraid if I saw one at a very good price, would just have to have it even if I had to freecycle it! I know I am defeating the purpose buying and then freecycling, but if someone posts on Freecycle that they need something and I have it to give, it thrills me to be able to give to someone!<br />

I am thinking of getting together the old costume jewelry pieces I have and selling them on Ebay. I have bought jewelry on Ebay before and passed them out at the assisted living center as Christmas presents. Now I have an over-abundance of necklaces! The thrift stores often sell wonderful pieces of costume jewelry.

I love to spend the day going to thrift shops too. I have gotten some really good deals. But the best part is the thrill of the hunt. I love looking for just the right treasure. My most recent deal was a disney princess bike for 9 bucks. And I have a 3 year old who can't wait for warm weather to ride it.
