They are the best, so long as it's the hard compacted snow. Usually the street is best. It can be quite intense, but always fun. Head first is a must. Not only for the adreneline rush, but it steers more acurately with the weight being at the front of the sled. I got my red rail racer from Santa Clause when I was 8. It still rocks & I'm now 32 and have put it through some ****. Last year a friend of mine wanted to try it. She's a girly girl, so I knew she would ride it like a *****. I told her just to lay on top of me (head first), was crazy! Drove up one side and sled down the other. The road sharply curved right then dead ended. We wrecked so hard. Wish I could put a pic of the bruising I got. Brutal. Losened every rivet, lost a couple little nails and I'd do it again in a heartbeat. Since then I've been trying to tighten it back up. Still have a little more to go.
