I Love Snail Mail

I love the thrill of going to the mail box and seeing that there is a letter or card in it. I love the feel and texture of the paper. The post marked stamp. The feel of the ink on the page.

I love the pleasure of opening it. I always wait until I have the setting just right. I must have a drink and a cozy place to sit and read it. I enjoy the anticipation of seeing what is inside. The picture on the card, or the pretty flowers on the stationary all work together to delight the visual senses.

There is nothing wrong with communication in today's virtual world, but i still love the thrill of the "old fashioned" pen and paper letter.

    Yes!! It's the effort that's involved. All we have to do now is type something up in one of the fifteen windows we have up on our computer screen. Snail Mail involves finding stamps and going to the mailbox. Raising the flag...

    Oh at last I find someone the same, I loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooovvveeeeeee snail mail, I think cause its something real to hold in my hands that was once in someone elses, and the effort they went to, to put pen to paper and send their thoughts.
