Gentle Shiver

She speaks to people
She falls above in the glooming sunlight
Her white, sparkling voice ecoes
As she falls through the air

I cast my eyes above
Seeing my breath
Feeling the cold

I stand alone
My head thrown back
Air biting me like a vengeful beast
Ice layering my bones
Snow layering the snow
The frosty forest is beautiful

A sudden cease in snow
Sunlight smashes gently through foggy shackles
With warmth returns feeling
With feeling returns motion

Wading through the black snow
Splashing from the road.
