But I Rarely Get It Here.

We live at 1000 metres altitude, so it gets a good cold winter, plenty of frosts. Unfortunately here winter is our dry time of year, so right when it's cold enough, there's not enough moisture for snow. This year we had none here, though a bit in the nearby towns. Usually we get at least some sago snow or a few flakes in the air. Rarely does it settle on the ground. There have been the odd years where it is deep enough to scrape up some snowballs or a snowman. I always take photos.

Most frustrating is that the biggest snowfalls happen when we happen to be out of town on holidays!
