Canada Vs Syria

I used to live in Syria before moving to Canada. I met one of my sister's friend last summer and it turned out that he had moved back to Syria from Canada a week before we met. He liked me when I was still there in summer but I never gave it much thought. When i came here and he kept on talking to me via Facebook chat, I started liking him. He's 8 years older than me and he's a busy guy. He's been very bipolar lately, saying the sweetest words to me then the next day would say that he doesn't have to talk to me everyday. When I confronted him about it he said its not fair for me because he doesn't know when he's going to come with this situation in Syria. He says he doesn't want to hurt me so he doesn't want me to get too involved. His mom and sisters live here so we both know that he's gonna come at some point but we just don't know when.
Slowly I'm falling for him and I'm
starting to think that he might be the man i want to share my life with.
Is this insane or do u think that i should keep holding on?!
