How Spaced Changed My Life

I fell in love with Spaced when I fist saw it a couple of years ago on BBC America. I couldn't believe what I was seeing, and still have not found anything to rival its brilliance and wit. Why can't there be more!?!?!? Two seasons was just not enough, and I must say I have my doubts about the American version that may or may not be coming in the near future. With the exception of The Office, Americanized British sitcoms rarely come close to the caliber of the original. Just look at what happened with Coupling... Anyway, my point is, Spaced is the greatest television series of all time, and my greatest hope is that someday it will return, but so much greater is my hope that I will be able to be there for it. Who wants to wait five years for it to finally make it across the Atlantic to our cable systems? Not this guy!

Here! Here! I second that emotion!!

Yes. Unfortunately there are so few people in this country that understand the significance of "It made me want to drown things."<br />

By the way, I bought the definitive Spaced collection from a few years ago (hacked my dvd pla<x>yer for region 2).<br />

They have an awesome third disc of additional material, background, wonderful goofs, and a lovely little vignette called "Skip to the End", about Daisy and Tim a few years in to the future.<br />

"You've got paint on you."

Too true, DiscoveryChick. When people ask me about it, I just say there are no words to decsribe it's magnificence, it's splendourous glory is unsurpassed and they must see it for themselves to understand the glory that is Spaced. They usually look at me funny, and walk away, but we know what they're missing and it's us who pities them!

I can NOT agree with you more. I really think it's one of the most brilliant damn things that has ever been on tv. And the frustrating and wonderful thing about it is that it's one of those experiences that is just so ... *cool* ... that it's very difficult to describe to others. But others that have seen it understand!
