He Is Very Talented!

I began reading his novels when I was in high school.  I believe the very first one I ever read was Carrie.  The one that really scared me the most was The Shining.  If I had to pick an absolute favorite, it would have to be The Stand.

In my opinion though, it seems that after Mr. King was in that accident, he seems to have lost some of his edge...either that, or he is running out of ideas!  In the past, his books were so good I could scarcely put them down.  Nowadays they seem pretty bland in comparison.  It took me a couple of weeks to read Lisey's Story, I found it very "put-down-able".

He is very good at inner dialogue.  The thoughts that his characters have sometimes sound like things I would think myself.  I also really enjoy interaction between young boys in his novels because it seems very realistic.  You  can tell that he hasn't forgotten what it's like to be a child.

My favorite is the Dark Tower series. I loved all the books. Next would be the Shining
