Grave Of The Fireflies

Studio Ghibli has a reputation for making child feature length movies. I have yet to watch one that I have not enjoyed immensely and I am 34 haha.
Grave off the fireflies however was a compelling yet emotionally sad take on the suffering off the japenese during the second world war.
I watched this movie with my 10 year old daughter who also enjoyed it immensely, however I'd be a liar to say I had dry eyes by the end off it!
I don't want to spoil the movie for anyone that is yet still too see it, but needless to say I rate it as my favourite Studio Ghibli production to date....
A MUST SEE FOR ANYONE!! OLD AND YOUNG ALIKE

I really liked it too! I didn't cry, but it was definitely one of the most depressing movies I've ever seen.

My brother showed it to me several years ago. I've never been in the habit of watching serious animes, but I really liked this one.

It's on the list of films I want to see, I haven't had a chance yet!

Hmmm. I've seen it. I didn't cry, but I think I should have. It made me wonder about how desensetized I have become. I didn't realize it was Studio Ghibli!
