I Love Making My Own!

I have a large selection of herbs in a cabinet that is dedicated JUST to making my own herbal teas. I've got everything from peppermint and chamomile, to lesser used things like blackberry leaves and rosehips, to even more uncommon things like Damiana, Mugwort, and Valerian root. I make teas not only for flavor, but to treat things like colds, or upset stomachs. I even have a tea blend that encourages vivid dreaming.

 

I have to say that making the tea is almost as soothing as drinking it. Experimenting with different combinations, and finding which flavors work, and which herbs ease which condition are so much fun. I've learned a lot, and I find that a good hot cup of tea seems to fix most things.

Even after a stressful day, just inhaling the fragrant steam of a hot cup while curled up with a book can set me right. Oh the wonders of teas.
