Memories

I love the tide being in on a beach.....when I was in my teens me & my sister would walk to the seafront & when we came to a place along the sea wall overlooking from a height some rocks we'd stand leaning against the wall......our favourite time for this was sunrise....but any time when the tide was coming in was amazing........intending only to spend 10 minutes there were times when we'd found we'd spent hours......with the roar of the crashing waves & the spray & the sun lightening on the distant still water. Just a few feet away was a pathway & a rain shelter & a quiet road behind that......when we eventually went to sit down on the shelter bench we'd notice how quiet it was.......it wasn't really quiet it was after the ocean noise......just a few feet was like another world
there was also this marina platform which acted as a kinda bridge.....intended for the ppl with boats to cross from where they kept their boats to the main part of the seafront......at night it was really poorly lit & with the tide in probably a bit dangerous but we'd love to cross it then...such a thrill;...........nighttime beaches are brilliant.....something magical without all the daytime visitors..............& winter beaches too.........felt so secluded, like a private beach or something, even tho the town was about 50 feet away
....of course, the sun, sand/pebbles, waves are always wonderful......& the changes in the sky over the ocean
