Once Upon a Time...or Maybe Twice...

when i was in 5th grade, i fell in love with the Beatles. until i was in 8th grade, i listened to nothing but the Beatles but with a little bit of other stuff from the 60s thrown in here and there. i got made fun of because the music i was listening to was at least 40 years older than i was, and i think that is ridiculous. there is nothing wrong with liking old music. and especially because the Beatles are TIMELESS. they will be heard 40 years from now in the same way they are now and were in the 60s.

the music makes me feel better when i'm sad and makes me happy even when i'm already happy. there's just something about them.

not only the music, but the men behind the music are amazing. they have such a great sense of humor, and i could listen to interviews with them all day long. their lives are interesting to read about. i love the book "The Love You Make" by Peter Brown. it's soo in depth and just. really amazing.

i could go on all day about the Beatles, but i think i'll stop there. = ]

Awesome music, i can sympathize with you because i am a huge fan of old rock my sister and i got tired of listening to crappy rap and pop music so we statred asking around for our neighbors old records that they didnt want and we ran into "you shook me all night long" and fell in love with the music (Janis Joplin, Led Zepplin, Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, etc) and noone around me seemed to like them all that was good was britney spears and nsync...
anyway i got to college and luckily my roommates share my music tastes so dont give in and listen to whatever you want!
It's cool that you can appreciate music made long before you were born....my stepmother is a huge beatles fan, so I grew up listening to them too....but of course, I am much older than you.... SS
